At the beginning of our relationship, we will inform you about the expected costs. For legal disputes there are generally two kinds of costs. These are procedural costs on the one hand and attorney costs (fees) on the other.
The fee is generally calculated based on time spent. The hourly rate varies depending on the complexity and significance of the case. We may request part of the expected fee as a retainer in advance. Our partners work independently from one another and accordingly the fee agreements are entered into individually. The assigned partner is then also exclusively responsible for managing the mandate.
If a party does not have the necessary funds and if the proceeding has merit, there is an option to apply for legal aid. Where a party is represented by an attorney, a request may be made for the legal fees to be covered.
Compensation for the notarial services is governed by the applicable notarial rates, which are regulated by the cantons.
